St. Andrew’s & St. Mathias Parish Life

The parish remains the place where Jesus Christ is encountered, worshiped, and served. It is the bedrock on which we build our community. With so many things happening behind the scenes (for example: planning meetings, communicating, coordinating, scheduling, record keeping, discernment and innovation, accompanying, seeking out, and hosting), the Parish Life Office is vital to help reach our mission to Worship, Teach, and Serving. For the last eleven months, we have studied these tasks with the help of Kasia Kroll as our intern. With the completion of her time with us, we shall discern and propose a way forward in this important parish role. Here is a message from Kasia:

Dear St. Andrew’s and St. Mathias Parishioners,

I am writing to thank you for the support and joy you have all provided me this past year as your Parish Life Intern. Over the past year, I had the great pleasure and privilege of meeting many of you and serving your parish community. Your parishes have a very rich appreciation for honorable traditions and a strong willingness to serve. One thing that remained very prominent through the interviews and conversations I conducted was that you are a service parish. You love to serve, which made it easy for me to serve you, to give back to you for all the hard work, time, and effort you put into your parishes and surrounding community. These parishes of St. Andrew’s and St. Mathias are full of wonderful people who are always willing to help when called. One of my greatest takeaways from this internship is the knowledge you all gave me. You all pushed me to grow and taught me in my unknowing. You were patient with me, encouraged me, and welcomed me with a smile. I will always cherish the time I’ve spent serving the parishes of St. Andrew’s and St. Mathias. Our very good and gracious God has now led me into my next chapter of life. I am very excited to be entering this new chapter of life, both as serving our Lord's littlest sheep – teaching babies and children, and preparing to enter holy matrimony next July.

I look forward to getting to know many of you better and serving your parishes as I am able. May God bless each of you and the parishes of St. Andrew’s and St. Mathias. As of August 7th, I am no longer your Parish Life Intern, serving the Parishes of St. Andrew’s and St. Mathias.

Sincerely,

Kasia Kroll
