Terrance Paul Metzger was born February 9 th , 1961, in Minot, ND. He was welcomed into Ray andLorraine Metzger’s family in September of the same year in Grand Forks, ND. In 1967 the family movedto Fargo, ND. He attended Fargo South High School where he was pursued by the love of his life, Janet, when they first met in the fall of 1978. He finally came to his senses in 1979 and asked her to prom. Terry graduated from Fargo South High School in 1980. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in March 1985, where he graduated from basic training with honors. He was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV with the Transportation Squadron until April 27 th , 1988. Terry came home on leave August of 1985 where he proposed a life full of love, adventures, and happiness to his “Queen”. They made it official on June 21 st , 1986. Their first home was in Las Vegas until May of 1988 when they returned to Fargo. Unbeknownst to the young couple they were pregnant with their first child, Colton Alexander born December 20 th , 1988. Terry went to work for his Dad’s RV dealership and rental store until November 1989. They then moved to Goshen, IN where he went to work building motor homes, that job led to his career in sales selling park models for Kropf nManufacturing. He became a father again on October 6 th , 1991, when his second son Austin Ray was born. The family was completed July 8 th , 1993, when his daughter Gabrielle Elizabeth arrived. In November of 1993, the family moved to Brainerd where Terry continued to pursue his career in retail RV sales at Lewie’s RV. His next challenge in life was, as he would say, selling dirt for Four Seasons Realty which later became Naterra Land. There, he was always one of the top performers while selling lake shore property. Life’s curve ball gave him the opportunity to immerse himself in local community by managing the Brainerd’s American Legion until the fall of 2012 when he partnered into Legacy Logistics Trucking Company in Dickinson, ND. In 2016 his passion for sales was reawakened when he received a call from Precision Equipment Manufacturing where he excelled once again. Terry’s whole world was his entire family, especially his relationships with is children. Every home of Terry and Janet’s became a safe haven for all friends and family. The door was always open, and you were always welcomed. Happy hours and pull-tabs with friends, summer boat rides, hunting and fishing with “the boys”, cooking, being quality control for Janet’s baking and traveling were some of the many things he enjoyed in life. His devotion to sports is proven in the loyalty to his two favorite teams: Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings!
