Donna Marie Watson

Donna Marie Watson, age 92, of Brainerd, died on Friday, September13, 2024 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather for one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Donna was born on July 13, 1932 to William and Mary (Datzman) Schuster in Pine River. She was raised and graduated in Pine River in 1950. She met the love of her life, Derald while working at Land O’ Lakes Dairy. Together, they had three sons. Donna was able to stay home to raise her children before she started her career as Deputy Clerk. Donna was loving, caring, had the most wonderful sense of humor, and most importantly, was a devoted mother and wife. She had many hobbies, including crossword puzzles, solitaire, writing poetry, coloring, and piano playing. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Derald; three sons, Derald Jr., Mark and Keith Watson; and many other nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by one infant son, Gregory; and her four brothers, Kenneth, Arthur, William and Raymond Schuster. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are being completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
